This combo has better performance than Terrain LOD redone by T4GTR43UM3R, especially the meshes (Terrain LOD redone tanks my performance by 10-20fps in places) plus work fine with DynDOLOD. PJ relied a bit too much on the audience’s familiarity with the LotR films, so AUJ feels too much like a prequel rather than a proper first chapter. I haven't tried this myself, but there's lots of commentary there to read through.It drastically overhauls how the game is played, with new skill trees and game rebalancing.

Poking around, I see there's at least one mod that addresses some of the concerns people have: Haven't played a campaign yet, and it looks like there's some things that don't work right there. There are inconsistencies with lore, and some unbalanced forces (I found the Hordes of Oblivion to be somewhat overpowered- although in one battle my Khajiit beat them magnificently- I guess not unbeatable but awfully strong), and some factions could use fleshing out, but for a free mod I'm really impressed.

Maybe striders won't fight other striders, and after I ran the rest of their army off the field they stopped doing anything? One TES quick battle had two Dunmer clans going at it- complete with stilt strider heavy cav (kudos for including that), but my striders seemed to malfunction early on and spent the entire battle wandering around aimlessly and unresponsive while the other side's still worked- they were really the only units they had that were worth anything. Revisionist history? -But that was a TWMII battle so I don't think it had anything to do with the mod. Have seen a couple odd things in gameplay- was surprised the saved replays might not always match what actually happened- only has happened with one regular TW battle, but was weird it turned a clear HRE victory into a total rout. I haven't seen any bad bugs or performance problems I can specifically ascribe to the mod rather than the base game yet. Just loaded Total War and the Elder Scrolls mod two days ago so I have only a few hours in it, but I'm having a lot of fun so far. Think we missed one?
